We can support local projects with funding the Landfill Communities Fund, which was established by the government in 1996. It enables operators to donate part of their annual tax liability to enrolled Environmental Bodies for a variety of approved community and environmental projects. Whilst Tarmac does not operate a landfill at Whisby, quarries qualify under the scheme and we have donated to projects such as the Whisby Nature Park through the fund. We\u2019ve previously held Quarry Liaison Group meetings as a regular touchpoint with community representatives, which we are looking to restart this year.
